Nashville City

Die 1979 gegründete Band Nashville City ist das belebende Element in der ansonsten countrymäßig unterversorgten nördlichen Region Deutschlands.

Nach ihrem ersten Platz beim bundesdeutschen Talentwettbewerb des Daviton Tonstudios 1982 und der Produktion ihrer ersten Single "Der Kellerkater / Texas Lady" im gleichen Jahr ziehen sie mit viel Spaß an der Countrymusic durch die Lande und leisten im Norden Deutschlands Missionsarbeit. 1992 wurde ihr eigenes Tonstudio in Kiel fertig gestellt.

Ihre Anstrengungen wurden belohnt:

So nahmen sie 1996 als einzige deutsche Band beim größten dänischen Countryfestival in Silkeborg teil, erreichten im gleichen Jahr den sechsten Platz in den European Top 20 Independent Charts und wurden 1997 in der Kategorie "Band Of The Year" beim European CMA-Award nominiert.

Founded in 1979 the German country band Nashville City is a milestone in the northern part of Germany having really not too much country music.

In 1982 they won a talent contest by the German "Daviton Tonstudios" and produced their first single "Der Kellerkater / Texas Lady". Since then they tour through north Germany being missionaires for country music with lots of humor and good country sound.

In 1996 their work was on it by being the only German band in Silkeborg, the biggest Danish Country Music Festival and being positioned on the 6th place at the European Top 20 Independent Charts.

In 1997 they were nominated for "Band Of The Year" at the European CMA-Awards.
